Scott MacKay is the president and founder of Probe Research Inc. Since 1994, he has overseen the growth and expansion of Probe from a modest research boutique into a major public opinion and marketing research organization.

Scott is a professional researcher with extensive experience in the market research field. Before forming Probe Research Inc., he was a national research director with the Angus Reid Group, where he was involved in the direction of numerous custom and syndicated research studies. During his professional career, Scott has not only designed various complex social and consumer research instruments, but he has also used his expert analytical and communications skills to prepare hundreds of reports and presentations. He regularly provides insightful commentary on political, social, and economic issues for local and national media outlets.

Scott holds a graduate degree in political studies from the University of Manitoba, where he has also taught undergraduate courses in the area of Canadian politics. In 2005, he received formal designation as a Certified Marketing Research Professional (CMRP) – a distinction provided to only an elite group of Canadian marketing research professionals. In addition to his role as president of Probe Research Inc., he is vice-president of DataProbe Inc., Probe’s data collection sister company. DataProbe provides state-of-the-art data collection services to Probe Research and to numerous other organizations across Canada and the United States.
