Curtis Brown joined the Probe Research team in April 2008 after establishing himself as a well-known political journalist in Manitoba. A graduate of the University of Regina’s School of Journalism, Curtis has worked as a reporter (and later columnist) with The Prince Albert Daily Herald, Brandon Sun and The Winnipeg Free Press, and has also provided commentary on provincial and federal political issues for programs on CBC Radio One and CJOB. Presently, Curtis is completing a Master’s Degree in Political Studies at the University of Manitoba, where he is conducting research on blogs and their effects on political communication and journalism. He has recently written a chapter on new media for the book Mediating Canadian Politics (Pearson, 2009) and is currently co-editing a forthcoming volume on Manitoba politics and government. With his journalistic and academic background, Curtis provides Probe Research with extensive experience in preparing reports, designing questionnaires and conducting executive interviews on behalf of clients.
